RP6-2988M METAL VERSION 3-2 BRAKE VALVE ASSEMBLY D.42 C

Replaces RP6-2988 Brake valve Assembly - this is the one with the larger diameter puck.

If the brake is slipping, consider the following;

There are three valves that the two pedals touch. The one valve that has the larger contact pad is the brake. The air pressure makes the large flat brake cylinder under the rotating arms expand. 

• The brake can sometimes be slogged with oil, causing the whole thing to slip.
• The pedal adjustment may be loose, causing a lower than tolerable air pressure to be delivered to the brake cylinder
• The rubber pad on the brake cylinder could have deteriorated
• The nuts holding down the arm assembly could require adjustment.

    As with all air operated devices, we recommend periodically checking to make sure your lubricator/oiler is functioning and full of oil. By doing this, it will help prevent premature part failure.
