MICROSWITCH FOR OVERHEAD ONLY
This switch rests in the black box attached to the overhead crossmember on two post lifts. This is a normally open switch, that acts as a kill switch for the lift. It is normally compressed and held in the closed position via the overhead bar. When lifting a vehicle, if the vehicle moves the bar off of the switch, the lift's motor will stop preventing the vehicle from making contact with the overhead crossmember and preventing damage to both the vehicle and the lift.
